Welcome to the Autumn Term 2021

Children and adults enjoying ballet, modern and tap classes

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the Autumn Term 2021!

I hope you have all had a restful and enjoyable Summer break with your families and that you are all keeping well.

I have been very busy over the Summer, employing some amazing freelance dance teachers to help me grow Susyballet and to be able to offer you and your children more fantastic dance classes. I am thrilled to announce that we have not one, not two, but three wonderfully experienced & talented teachers joining us in September. Miss Nicole, Miss Rosie & Miss Olivia are all looking forward to meeting you & teaching your lovely children to dance. I will soon be adding their biographies to my website so please keep an eye out for these. Your children are in for an absolute treat. These teachers are absolutely lovely and I cannot wait to see the children flourish under their care.

Over the Summer, we held a fantastic three day Summer Dance Camp at Bishopsgate School. The children had an amazing time trying out different dance genres & we were very lucky to be able to present a mini show for the parents on the last day. Our talented, newly appointed teachers also worked with me at Summer Dance Camp & between us we taught the children nine dances in three days! The children enjoyed being with their friends so much & we also made lots of arts & crafts & props to use in our dances. It was a really fun few days, the children had an absolutely wonderful time & I am so grateful to my teachers & assistants for all their hard work.

Speaking of assistants, I have been so lucky to have Miss Laura & Miss Amy helping me with many of my ballet classes this past year or so. They have worked so hard & been such wonderful assistants in every way. Sadly, Miss Laura is leaving us in September as she has graduated from her first degree & is moving to Estonia to start studying medicine! Congratulations Miss Laura on all your achievements & the very best of luck for the future. Please come back & visit us soon. We will miss you!

Luckily, our other wonderful assistant, Miss Amy, will still be with us in September. She is studying drama & creative writing at University & has a vast experience of dance. Miss Amy has been a wonderful, dedicated & hard working member of the team & we are delighted that she is continuing to work with us this coming year.

I am so happy to be able to report that Susyballet has grown over the past two years, despite the problems posed by the pandemic and we now offer Nursery Ballet from age 2 & a half , RAD Syllabus Classes from Pre-Primary to Grade 5, Progressing Ballet Technique, Adult Beginner/Improver Ballet and NEW from September, we will be starting Modern and Tap classes for children from age 4 upwards. We will be following the ISTD Syllabus. PLease get in touch if you would like to book any of these classes as spaces are starting to fill up.

Earlier in the Summer, we held our first RAD Ballet exams & several of our children from Pre-Primary to Grade Two experienced taking their first exams. They all worked so hard & danced beautifully. I am so proud of all of them & I am excited to receive the results hopefully soon.

I am delighted and proud to announce that for the last year we have also started to provide curriculum dance classes and after school Ballet, Modern & Tap Clubs for Bishopsgate School in Englefield Green.

Thank you all so much for continuing to support my small dance school through what has been an incredibly challenging couple of years. I am so excited to see my dance school grow & I certainly would not be able to do all this without the hard work from my teaching staff and the commitment from my wonderful students and their families.

As always, our mission is to share our love of ballet & dance & to inspire people of all ages to come & experience the many benefits of dance. Our priority is to provide high quality, creative, fun & nurturing classes. We aim to boost self-esteem and ensure that everyone attending our classes has fun and develops a love of dance.

Term starts on 6th September and I'm looking forward to seeing you all soon!

My very best wishes,

Susy
